Hi, Im Ashley.

I’m Ashley, 34, born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, now living in Western Massachusetts. I’ve been in recovery since February 21, 2013, a journey that has deeply shaped the way I move through the world, my work, and myself. Recovery is not a single milestone, but a daily practice that continues to teach me patience, self-trust, and growth.

I returned to painting during a period of intense caregiving, while serving as the primary caretaker for my grandparents. Confined to their home, art became a way to process what I couldn’t yet name, and a way to stay present through something deeply bittersweet.

For a long time, my work carried the weight of that chapter. In many ways, it still does, just more gently now. My art continues to evolve as I do, shifting from survival toward clarity, curiosity, and connection. What remains constant is the intention behind it: to create work that feels honest, grounding, and human.

My hope is to build something sustainable here while sharing pieces of my story in ways that help others feel seen, understood, or a little less alone.

Whether you’ve been here from the beginning or are just finding your way in, thank you for being here with me during the becoming.

I dedicate my work to the younger version of myself, the one who never believed she would live to see this life, and to my once-in-a-lifetime boyfriend, who continues to help make my dreams feel possible.

Love always,
Ashley Rose
